Wednesbury Probus Club

The Club is mainly for retired ladies. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 2.30pm in the Hall and are finished by 4.00pm. Members are advised of forthcoming events, share birthday and anniversary dates, members who are not well are remembered and best wishes and cards are sent to them. Local information is passed on to make members aware of what is happening in the area. The Speaker for the afternoon follows with their particular subject. Our Speaker Secretary books Speakers on a wide variety of subjects aiming to please everyone though the year. Christmas we always have a good sing of carols, etc. with mince pies, of course. We have a raffle every meeting and twice a year hold a Bring and Buy. Day trips are arranged to interesting places and also meals. The aim of the Club is to provide an afternoon of friendship and contact with other ladies, fun, interesting news and Speakers. We finish the meeting with light refreshments and a chance to have a “natter”. Anyone wishing to have further information please call the Secretary (Pat Beesley) on 0121 556 1695.
